Our unique expertise in hair styling education has allowed Grippe’s to offer Continuing Education Classes.

Our Continuing Education class is for the stylist that has maintained their license or has a temporary license and is ready to get back into the industry. It is also for current stylists that are looking for a refreshing class providing today’s latest trends with coloring and styling.

Ondrea Grippe-Getz is the instructor of our 7 week program. The program will cover the following items:

Week 1 - Communication

  1. How to consult with you client on the type of style they are looking to achieve
  2. How to dress
  3. What to ‘gossip’ and when not to
  4. How to close the deal so they become a return customer before walking out the door
  5. How to handle a ‘bad experience’ client

Week 2 - Shampoo – Cut – Style

  1. How to drape client
  2. Proper shampoo and conditioning treatment
  3. Basic haircut and layering

Week 3 - Color

  1. Color consult
  2. Brand review
  3. Mix
  4. How to apply
  5. Shampoo it out

Week 4 - Foils

  1. Highlights
  2. Low lights
  3. Fun color
  4. When to slice and when to weave

Week 5 - Men, Clippers & Kids

  1. Understanding clippers
    • How to hold them
  2. How to handle kids haircuts and keep them happy
  3. Achieve cutting hair with a moving target

Week 6 - Up Do

  1. Wedding
  2. Prom
  3. Latest trends and styles
  4. We keep up to date on the latest trends – attend NYC trade shows

Week 7 - Trial Week

  1. Schedule your appointment with Ondrea
  2. Bring your own model, products & tools
  3. Based on first come, first serve basis
  4. 5 booth available at a time
